Damiana Spöckinger with Damiro. My name is Damiana Spöckinger. I was born in 1991, trained as an industrial clerk and currently work as a commercial employee. I come from the area around Frankfurt am Main. On my social-media platforms, I share everyday life with my horse Diamiro with my followers. However, my channels are not exclusively about equestrian sports. I also enjoy reporting on the things that interest and inspire me away from horses and riding: travel, events, beauty, fashion and much more… simply whatever I am interested in.
Nevertheless, much of my life still revolves around Diamiro and me. What do we get up to? Training, competitions, groundwork, trail rides, feeding, veterinary visits and much more. I have been taking my followers along for many years now, since 2007. My mother used to ride herself and has always been passionate about horses, so my love of horses and equestrian sports was practically born into me. I started vaulting at a very young age and later took riding lessons at a riding school. Over the years, this gradually developed into owning my own pony, Jenna (2003–2005). In August 2005, Diamiro came into my life because I had become too tall for Jenna. She now enjoys her retirement with her new owner.
RPZ Diamiro is a bay Bavarian gelding, born in 2001, by DeNiro out of a Rohdiamant mare. We now compete in dressage up to Intermediate I and have already won a competition at this level. We also compete in show jumping up to Class A. But that is not all… we are both very versatile, and that is very important to me. Variety is good for you! ;) You may also meet us out hacking, and we are always up for trying something new: swimming, groundwork, beach rides, photo shoots and much more.

Ivonne Hellenbrand with Markus, her horse Hermann, and the dogs Lukas and little Frieda. My name is Ivonne Hellenbrand, and I have been using a wheelchair since February 2010 because an incurable illness is causing my bones to dissolve. I have always been a great horse lover, and horses have played an important role in both my professional life—as a trained professional riding instructor—and my private life. I therefore wanted to return to horses and get back in the saddle. In the winter of 2012, this dream came true. Since then, and thanks to the wonderful Haflinger stallion Mailänder, I have regained so much strength and vitality. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to my beloved companion far too soon, on September 19, 2015.
In August 2015, we had already welcomed two new equine companions. One was Herman, an eleven-year-old Haflinger gelding with whom I planned to continue competing, and the other was Mailänder’s grandson, the little Maikäfer, as we affectionately call him.

Jörn Warner – member of the German Eventing SquadAlthough my mother had always owned horses, I did not become interested in riding until I was fourteen. From then on, however, I pursued it with great intensity. My first successes in riding competitions were not long in coming. Even though my sister claimed that the judges were simply happy to finally see a boy competing, I was very proud of my ribbons. I knew that I wanted to become a competitive rider. With Frühlingsfee, I achieved that goal. At the age of eleven, I took over the difficult gray mare from my sister and competed successfully with her in dressage and, above all, show jumping. She carried me through our first M-level course. I won my first M-level competition with Carl, however. This Irish horse with a big heart taught me everything I needed to know as an eventing rider. Together, we worked our way up to three-star level.
For several years now, the loyal mare has been supported in the cross-country phase by Paul. I was based in England with the Hanoverian in 2015. Living, riding and working in the home of eventing gave me another major boost. Naturally, I will always remember our sensational successes at Ashton-le-Walls and Houghton Hall, but I will also never forget the way the British treat their top-level athletes and manage them with the horse’s welfare in mind.
The fact that my dressage career also developed so positively is primarily thanks to my two trainers, Silke Fütterer-Sommer and Flora Schweppenhäuser. They took me on as an apprentice in 2010, when I was riding at rural L level. Thanks to their support, I moved up to advanced level within two years. They placed their trust in me and allowed me to take each of their horses to competitions. Lulu, Wilmi, Flummi and Sky—I was allowed to compete them all. I am still incredibly grateful for that today, especially for Sky. I placed in the top three five times in eight S-level dressage competitions with him. We always fought for each other. Whenever I return to my former training yard today, Sky is still the first one to come over for a cuddle.
After passing two master-craftsman examinations in 2016, becoming a member of the German Eventing Squad and earning the German Golden Riding Badge in dressage and eventing, I had reached several major milestones in my riding career. But I am still far from my final goal. There is still plenty for me to learn in all three equestrian disciplines—and I am ready to take it on.
